Since leaving a 2* review Camper UK upped their game. The awning was replaced and communication was great. If only they had done this in the first place it would be a 4*. We spent over £100,000 buying a new Laika Ecovip. When we picked it up it had clearly not been PDI’d properly. Internal panels were not fitted correctly, the engine bay and bullhead sound proofing and fire break were not fitted and three cupboard door closures did not. When the water system froze the first winter we also discovered the water pressure regulator had not been charged as it split. Given it would take at least two months to book it in and get things fixed I sorted the problems myself. The in June as we wound the awning out for the first time we discovered the main bar was rusty and awning fabric stained. So we added this to the list of thing to fix in its annual service in February. We were told if we dropped it off by 9 it would be ready by 2pm. We sat and waited and at 4.30 they finally told us there was a problem and they could not do the awing or recall software update. We booked in for a few weeks later and when I collected it and was told the software update had not been done but the awning had been fixed. So had to rebook. A couple of weeks later when we were next away, roll out the awning and it had not been fixed. Rebook again, call to confirm the awning has been replaced, they confirmed it had been done. Roll it out 2 weeks later and all they have done is remove the rust from the visible part of the awning bar when it was rolled out all the way and the rest is still rusty and the awning material is still stained. The only reason for a 2 star review is the service reception and maintenance people are lovely, but their systems are shambolic. Had a call from their service follow up person 2 days ago to ask if everything ok. When I told he of what had happened she said she would get the service manager to give me a call. No contact as yet. When you spend over £100k on a new Motorhome you expect a level of service. Camper UK have fallen so far short of what would be expected in our case.

A big thanks to Dave, Dan and Sam. I highly recommend them for all things motorhome, campers, servicing, repairs, and accessories.
