I arrived to collect a minibus on a Saturday at the allotted time. There was only one person in the office and he looked at us as if we had brought something in on our shoes. No "hello, can I help you" at all. My friend said we're here to collect a minibus to which he replied "well you haven't booked". We had of course and he eventually found the paperwork but never apologised. Next he told my friends that their passports weren't "good enough" as forms of ID and insisted on knowing my occupation even though I explained that that was irrelevant to a hirer. It's worth pointing out that I travel for business and so hire cars all over the world somewhere around 10 times a year. I've never had a passport refused and have never been asked my occupation. Throughout the time in the office this person (M Livingstone on the hire document) was rude and difficult. If it wasn't for the fact that my friends had already had difficulty sourcing a 16 seater minibus, I would have told him to keep it and gone elsewhere. Does this make Days a bad company? No. One person isn't the company and in truth the young lady who I returned the van to was charming. I would say though that Days need to be aware that this person should not be in a customer facing role.
